Thanks to new technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of serious eye pathologies, patients whose diagnosis sounded like a death sentence ten years ago – blindness – now have a chance to regain their vision. More than 60% of patients with these pathologies are elderly people aged 60 to 70 years. The purpose of the free surgery week is to make available surgical treatment of eye diseases for people from the Perm Territory, whose financial resources do not allow them to seek emergency medical care.
Inna Zlotnikova, Medical Director of the Tri-Z group of companies
Group of companies “Tri-Z”- takes an active position in providing free assistance to socially unprotected segments of the population. We are pleased to cooperate with the Foundation for Research and Treatment of Retinal Diseases within the framework of the “Right to See” campaign at our clinic in Perm, which has been selected for performing the most complex ophthalmological operations. This is due to the high expertise of “Tri-Z” in the field of vitreoretinal surgery, the professionalism of our doctors, the use of the most modern technologies in the field of ophthalmology in general and a high level of service. “
Every day the number of patients for whom vitreoretinal surgery is indicated is growing. At the end of the 1st quarter of 2017, the number of patients with retinal and vitreous pathology who underwent surgical treatment at the Tri-Z clinic in Perm doubled. This is primarily due to the fact that vitreoretinal operations are performed by the ophthalmic surgeon of the Perm clinic. The technical equipment of “Tri-Z”, the professionalism of vitreosurgeons and the use of the most modern technologies make it possible to restore vision in especially difficult cases with minimal costs for the patient. This is possible due to the use of combined technologies, when surgery for complicated cataract with implantation of an artificial intraocular lens is performed in one stage with operations in the vitreous cavity. In 2017, such surgical interventions accounted for more than 40% of the total number of vitreoretinal operations.
In all cases of macular retinal ruptures, “Tri-Z” uses modern PRP-technology, when platelet-rich plasma of the patient’s own blood is used for treatment. This technology in the Perm Territory was first applied in the Tri-Z clinic, it allows you to get a 100% predictable result. Macular retinal tears belong to the category of difficultly diagnosed fundus pathologies and account for 13% of the total number of vitreoretinal diseases requiring surgical intervention.

Tatiana Avanesova, Chairwoman of the Foundation for Research and Treatment of Retinal Diseases, Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the 3Z Eye Care Clinic, Moscow, Ph.D. Med.:
“Today, the treatment of retinal diseases is a particularly acute problem for the older generation, as they often require immediate surgical treatment. Vitreoretinal operations are classified as high-tech, and consumables for their performance are expensive and inaccessible for a part of the older generation. As part of the “Right to See” campaign, we have the opportunity to provide assistance to such patients and return them to the happiness of seeing.” According to research by RENOME Online LLC, February 2018
