RETINAFOND JOINTLY WITH THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF THE REPUBLIC OF KALMYKIA HELD A LECTURE IN ELISTA

On January 25, in the conference hall of Polyclinic No. 1 in Elista, a lecture was held for ophthalmologists of the Republic of Kalmykia on the topic: “Vitreoretinal surgery at the present stage.”

The lecture was attended by the chief freelance ophthalmologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kalmykia, Tseren Viktorovich Kutushov, as well as 16 practising ophthalmologists of the Republic.

During the lecture, Tatiana Andreevna Avanesova touched upon such vitreoretinal pathologies as:

· Rheumatogenous retinal detachment;

· Macular hole;

· Submacular hemorrhage.

The lecture was productive. The listeners asked a large number of questions, and a plan for further lectures, which the Foundation plans to conduct online, was also outlined.

In addition, Tseren Viktorovich conducted an excursion around the day hospital of Polyclinic No. 1. Today, the Polyclinic is receiving patients, and operations are performed as well in the day hospital on patients in need of cataract and glaucoma surgery.
